  6. [MARK CARSON] On Friday night Laban was hanging in NYC with some of his friends and staff. One of his friends wanted his to meet someone that was a DJ who would be a great connect to know. The plan was to meet near the Village and go from there. Because it got late and Laban needed to be up in the morning for the reality show auditions, he just postponed the meeting and went home to get some rest. The next day at the audition someone told Laban that a young man was killed in the Village. It was a hate crime. The sad part about this is he was minding his own business in an area that is consider to be safe. And someone with hate in his heart shot him in the face and he died on the scene with his friends having to witness it. As people walk into the auditions, some shared their stories of how the night before they were there and witness their friend die. As Laban sat on the in the audition room, he held back his emotions to be “professional”. The sad thing about this story is Mark Carson could have been Laban King, or any other person enjoying a nice hot evening in NYC. Although Laban didn’t know Mark, he can’t help but to mourn for him, his family, and friends. While no one will ever know why bad things happen to good people, all someone can do is ask that in hard times, God reveals Himself in the life’s of mankind. Rest in Peace Mark Carson. With barely nothing on, Laban went in front of a abandon building on Woodward Ave in Detroit and told the crew we only have 5 minute to get the shot because of the weather. And he got them.
